Warum „Shower“?

Der Begriff „Shower“ kommt vom Englischen „to show“ (zeigen). Bei einer Baby Shower wird die werdende Mutter „herumgezeigt“, ihr Bauch bewundert und bestaunt. Der Begriff „shower“ (Dusche) kann auch als „Geschenkdusche“ interpretiert werden, mit der Mutter und Kind überschüttet werden.
